“목포남항습지공원”조성안에 관한 국제적 지원

배경
총회 (총 1500 여 명 참석)는 관련 분야별로 나누어져 다시 워크샵으로 동시 진행되었다. 위
“생물다양성과 서식지보전에 관한 이해와 혁신”워크샵에서 목포남항사례가 긍정적 사례로서 쟁점이 되었고 주목을 받았다. 토의후 합의된 아래의 지원성명서를 제시하기에 이르렀고 이 내용은 곧 총회에 전달될 것이다.

목포남항습지공원 조성 안에 관한 지원 성명서

2009 년 11 월 23 일부터 27 일까지 일정으로, 필리핀 마닐라에서 개최된 동아시아 해양 의회(the East Asia Seas Congress 2009) 내, “생물다양성과 서식지보전의 교훈과 혁신”에 관한 워크샵( the Workshop on the “nnovation in Biodiversity and Habitat Conservation Lessons Learned” 참석자 전원은 목포남항도심습지의 향상과 복원, 보전을 위한 목포시와 목포시민의 노고에 공동의 지원과 격려를 보냅니다. 제안된 “h목포남항습지공원”조성안의 장래성에 박수갈채를 보내는 바이며 미래의 자원으로 환경교육, 천연 생태관광, 생물다양성 유지, 수질 개선, 지속가능한 습지의 모범을 제시할 이 공원의 가치와 잠재적 중요성을 인정하는 바입니다.
Statement of Support
We the participants of the Workshop on the “nnovation in Biodiversity and Habitat Conservation
Lessons Learned”at the East Asia Seas Congress 2009 (Manila, Philippines, 23-27 November 2009)
offer our collective support and encouragement to Mokpo City and Mokpo citizens in their efforts to
conserve, restore and enhance the Mokpo Namhang Urban Wetland. We applaud the possibility of
the creation of a proposed Mokpo Urban Wetland park, and recognise the potential importance and
value of such a park –for biodiversity, for improving water quality, and for providing a sustainable
wetland area for environmental education and nature-based eco-tourism.
